Lee Rayner Chooses Haines Hunter
5 June 2018
Host of Fishing Edge and national fishing identity Lee Rayner has chosen a Haines Hunter 675 Offshore Hard Top as his new vessel. The 675 Offshore will be used in coming seasons of Fishing Edge and as Lee’s personal fishing boat. Lee has paired his new boat with a Mercury Verado 300 and has kitted it out with some amazing electronics and hardware.
Lee Rayner comments: “I want people to know that this isn’t a sponsorship deal, I chose and paid for this boat because I wanted one. I had heard a lot of great feedback from anglers I respect and after getting in a 675 and experiencing the ride, seeing the build quality and analysing the layout of the helm, cabin and cockpit, I knew it was the right boat for me. I need a boat that can do it all from chasing snapper in the bay through to marlin and heading 90km offshore to chase broadbill and the 675 ticks all the boxes”
Haines Hunter is delighted that Lee has chosen to purchase a 675 as his new vessel and feels it is a huge testament to the brand and the 675 range. User feedback generated by their outstanding offshore performance has been overwhelming since the release of the 675 and the sales keep growing each year.
Haines Hunter Managing director John Haber comments: “We’re thrilled Lee has chosen a Haines Hunter as his new vessel. I’ve followed Lee and his shows and I think it’s the perfect boat for him. He’s a great presenter and fisherman and the fact that he decided to come and buy a Haines Hunter as opposed to asking for some kind of sponsorship deal is a real testament to the boat and also Lee as a professional. I’m sure there are many brands that would be happy to give a boat and money over for the promotion on a national program like Fishing Edge but he chose a Haines Hunter.”
Lee is an accomplished angler and will be using his new 675 to target a host of species in various locations, so the boat has been meticulously fitted out to handle any and all fishing scenarios.
Lee Rayner further comments: “the thing I love about this boat is that it’s been designed for the modern angler and has allowed me to easily fit all the right equipment required for the fishing I do. I have 12” and 16” Simrad Evo 3 GPS/Sonar combos with 1kw hi-wide through hull transducer and a 1kw Low Chirp transducer. It’s fitted with Auto Pilot and radar a JL audio system, lean post, a total of 30-rod holders, a Bell Marine winch system, tool and tackle storage and a high quality stainless fit out. I can’t wait to start using it”
Season 10 of Fishing Edge will air on ONE HD
