As you know for several years now with extensive research and product development, we have formed a solid alliance with Easytow developing and refining a range of custom made trailers. The aim has been to create a competitively priced custom trailer for each model. Each trailer has been CAD designed all the way across the range, allowing for each model boat to sit nice and low in the trailer in comparison to some alternative trailers in the market. These developed Haines Hunter trailers with Easytow tick all the boxes for the recommendations started above.

Looking at the rear of each trailer you will notice the nice wide target area, with directional guides designed to help make a novice at the boat ramp look like an expert. Solid steps over the rear lights, swing number plate mount, a hook to hang your safety chain so that it doesn’t drag on the ground are just some of the handy selling features on these trailers.

KEEL SUPPORT

All trailers should have keel roller support like illustrated in the picture. The trailer is the backbone of the boat hence the importance of good keel support.

CARRYING CAPACITY OF TRAILERS

Please check the weight of your Haines Hunter packages to ensure the trailers have the correct carrying capacity for your boat.

BRAKES

Please make sure the trailer has the correct braking system. It’s recommended that Stainless Steel Calipers are fitted to trailers with Hydraulic brakes as they tend to have a much greater lifespan and give better performance and reliability.

BEARINGS & GREASE & TYRES

Bearing failure is one of the most common issues boat trailers have. It’s advised that good quality wheel bearings be fitted to the trailer and quality high temperature grease.
This significantly reduces the chances of bearing failures.

Your tyres are the only thing linking the trailer to the road so we must ensure quality tyres are fitted with the correct load rating.

JOCKEY WHEELS, WINCHES, LIGHTS

Jockey wheels, winches, and lights are all essential components of a trailer. Jockey wheels provide stability, winches secure heavy loads, and lights ensure the trailer is visible and safe to tow. These components work together to ensure that trailers can be transported safely and effectively.

STEEL

You will find it hard to get a stronger trailer frame than an Easytow. All trailers side rails are manufactured out of a minimum of 3.5mm wall thickness RHS. This material is all custom rolled from steel mills in Australia resulting in a quality trailer frame.

Haines Hunter includes an option to order each model boat with a recommended Easytow/Haines Hunter trailer.
