Haines Hunter 565R in Australia’s Greatest Boats Competition

The annual Trade A Boat Magazine “Australia’s Greatest Boat’ competition is on again for another year and the Haines Hunter 565R is one of the contenders. With only five other boats in the fiberglass category, making the short list is an achievement within itself. Trade A Boat select five boats each year and the finalists are selected based on the five highest scores received throughout the years boat reviews. This year the 565R will be driven by National Sales manger Tim Davies with Haines Hunter dealer Dan Andrews from Tweed Coast Marine.

Haines Hunter has a long and decorated history in the competition with it being a clear winner with the 650R and the 675 Hard Top in previous years. Last year saw the 675 Hard Top receive near perfect scores from all judges and we’re hoping to repeat this feat with the very popular 565R.

National Sales Manager Tim Davies comments; “The 565R is an amazing boat any which way you look at it. It has excellent handling in all water conditions; its aesthetics and interior lay out are what we believe at Haines Hunter to be the best in its size category. The fact it was chosen to be in a group of only five boats shows that we’re not the only ones that view it this way”.

The 565R was designed after three years in research and development at Haines Hunter’s state of the art manufacturing facility in Derrimut, Victoria and has received rave reviews from media, dealers and customers. Its design was the culmination of dealer and customer feedback showing a want for a boat that could handle extreme fishing conditions but come in at well under the six-metre size range.

Tim further comments; “Whether it was the need to have a highly capable boat at a lower price point, smaller size for storage or towing, there was demand there for a boat of this size that had the offshore performance of much larger boats in the Haines Hunter fleet. At Haines Hunter we’re very proud to have delivered exactly that. The 565R is an amazing little boat that performs like a much bigger vessel.”

There are four models available in the all-new 565. The 565 Offshore, 565 Cruiser, 565R and 565R Limited.

The issue of Trade A Boat and the results of the competition will be published in December this year.
